I’m a going-on-50 year old nurse.  Been divorced over a decade and love it!  I have four dogs, three cats and live in the middle of nowhere (code for crazy cat lady).  I’ve been diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases and lots of times things suck.  However, I’ve decided to do what I can, live a life I’m proud of and turn the rest over to God.

I would like to use the blog as a source of reliable information, a safe haven to vent & a forum for opinions that may or may not suit all readers. Feel free to reply, I only ask you do so with respect & in the spirit of learning & growth.

Can we exchange links? I have a resource blog on Lichen Sclerosus (an autoimmune disease). I’m trying to build awareness of the disease and providing options to reverse it. http://lichensclerosis.wordpress.com. Let me know. Thanks!

    Hi, Sheila!
I’ve enjoyed reading your blog. You have a great writing style. I’m very impressed that you can work still with all that you have. I’m a nurse, too, but I haven’t worked in two years due to lumbar back disc protrusion with compression of both nerve roots down both legs. I’m in severe pain most of the time, despite medications. There is NO way I could work 12 hour shifts right now. So I really commend you….keep up the great work! Stop by my blog when you have a chance. I’d love it! :0)
